Friday is Fort night!!!

Friday at the hunt house is fort night..

We had a little pizza party on Friday for blaines first day of school.

Then we put up blaines tent he got for his birthday.

 Blaines second day of school..

Maybe one day he will just smile for me! haha

 Roxies first day of pre school. She LOVED it!

I love this little ball of drama! :)

 I am not sure how I missed this zucchini but I did!

Looks like we will have some yummy bread in the near future.

That's it for now!

Our lives have really slowed down now that school has started!

I am not a morning person, but it is nice to finally have a schedule to live by!

Ey Bob...

Roxie finally let me cut her hair..

Her hair was so annoying, it was always in her eyes, straggly, and just drove me crazy!

She would let me do ponies, but an hour later they would be MIA!

I cant blame her, I hate ponies too..

SO.. We bobbed it!

And then he started school...

The day has come and gone and I am not sure that Monday will be much easier.

Kindergarten is a bitter sweet thing.

Bitter because I am soo not ready for my little man to go to school.

In AZ he would have still been in preschool this year, and then half day kindergarten the next.

North Dakota is lacking in the preschool department, and they do ALL DAY kindergarten.

I am not a big fan of him being gone all day,

but he is!! He LOVED IT!!

 Then we have poor miss Roxie. I think she took it harder than I did!

I was strong and didn't shed a tear.

Roxie was screaming and hitting me while I was dragging her out of Blaine's school..

 They are best buds.

And I love that!

 Here he is at his desk. He wouldn't look at me.

(I think I was embarrassing him)

We had out parent teacher conference the first hour of school, and while we met with the teacher the aid took them to the gym to play.

We had out meeting and then she told us to go home...

Just like that.. I didn't even get to say goodbye and get a kiss, I was kinda bummed..

Blaine probably didn't even notice, and that is just how I want it to be!

He is such a big guy..  I just love him to pieces!!!

So here is to kindergarten ALL day!

P.S. Speaking of Blaine, He is also signed up to start soccer next month, then basketball, then he has decided he wants to take up hockey..  What a stud!!!!

Kids will be kids.

Mud and dirt will always be a temptation.

Sometimes you just have to give in....

How do you get a truck to honk..

Sometimes we are super boring people and have super lazy days..

Like dont leave the house all day, wear your brothers sweats kind of days..

(or the same clothes you wore the day before. hmmhmm Blaine)

 These kids live in their own world..

and the semi gave em a good ol honk!

 So of course, one honk means that everyone should honk..

NOBODY would honk again.

This is pure disappointment.....

Going back in time.. again...

There is an awesome water park in Minot, it is inside the mall there.  Its about an hour and a half away, and we love to go there!! 

 Blaine and Roxie are quite the water dogs.

 Just keep swimming...

 Roxie likes to go head first.

The kids LOVE to swim, as long as neither one of them touch each other..

Our first camping trip in ND..

It is a shame that we have lived here for almost a year, and we just barely went camping..

Let me explain..

There is no trees here.. no woods, or forest..

There is wheat fields, corn and sunflowers.. And grass.

So we finally went down to the Roosevelt Theodore Park..

PARK. While it was nice to be out, with an almost campfire, and a tent,

We just are not a park kind of camping folk.

The dog had to be tied up, and make NO noise, we had neighbors all around us.

AND it cost money to pitch a tent there.. LAME

(We miss Big Lake, and Decker Wash..)

 This is our little camp site. Dont you love our fire?

 In this park they have free range buffalo. I thought it was cool until they headed strait for our camp site.

 I got kind of nervous, so I sat in the back car and took pictures. They were a lot closer then it looks. It may or may not have scared me..

 I was going to slap him on the butt, but I didnt..

So we had enough fun (or not) at the park, so we cut our stay short and came home the next day.  We set up camp in the back yard!  Lots more fun! (Isnt that sad..)

 We went fishing with some friends to the Missouri River..

We got skunked..

 Blaine turned into mud man..  He was covered in mud.

 Blaine and his friend.. They thought it was fun until they found out they had to strip down and wash off in the river.. haha!

My lone pole..  This is the first time we have gone fishing and not caught a thing..

We learned our lesson about camping in ND. Its just not the same as good ol AZ.. Next time I think we will head for some mountains and pines.. Montana maybe.. Maybe..
